Patnitop is a peaceful and quiet place in the Jammu region. Situated 112 kms from Jammu, Patnitop is a relatively unknown tourist spot, compared to the other resorts in the state. As this place has not been exposed too much to the tourists, it’s beauty is unmatched. This hill resort is perched on a beautiful plateau, enveloped by thickly wooded forests. Situated in a Gulmarg-like meadow it has picnic spots around. The 6 hole golf course is being expanded to 9 holes. Pony rides along little known trails, camping and walks can be indulged in by those with a less adventurous spirit. The daring can opt for Para gliding and basic skiing, introduces in recent years. Sudh Mahadev is another sacred spot situated close to Patnitop.

Patnitop-Tourist Attractions
The Naag (Cobra) Temple: The Pride of Patnitop is its 600 year old Naag temple. Though small in size, it reflects the faith and reverence shared by millions of Indians all over. The evenings in Patnitop are quite cold. The mountains are covered by fog and visibility can drop to a mere 10 feet.
Paragliding at Patnitop: Paragliding has been introduced at Sanasar and Jammu. The months from May to June and September to October are best suited for paragliding. Other aero sports like Parasailing and hot-air ballooning are also becoming popular.
Skiing at Patnitop: Skiing courses are conducted at Patnitop in the months of January and February. During the winter months, there are introductory courses for tourists/beginners at the gentle gradient slopes of Patnitop.
