Life's Golden Ticket... What Theme Are You Living Life By?

Life's Golden Ticket... What Theme Are You Living Your Life By? This is not one of those useless book reviews, believe me!
Yesterday was a day of self reflection, I do that every time I finish a great book. This time was over Brendon Burchard's Life's Golden Ticket. It's a phenomenally thought provoking piece of literature. The general message is, "What Theme Are You Living Your Life By?" Unfortunately many of us do not self reflect until there is a tragedy, let me explain...
Now understand, this is a true story...
At the end of my street is a house occupied by two guys and a girl, who are no older than 22, and three little kids. I did not get to know them well enough to say who the children belonged to. Apparently one of the young adults parents owns the house and because of today's real estate market can not sell one of the two houses owned; one here in Florida, one up north somewhere, so they rented the Florida home to one of their kids and stayed up north. Three young adults in a nice house by themselves is a recipe for disaster.
Needless to say they were a constant issue for our neighborhood. If it was not the parties it was the fights. If it was not the fights it was the bumping bass at 3 a.m. all nights of the week. I did not think it could get any worse and boy was I wrong!
Right after tax season one of the guys invested in a street legal, high performance motorcycle... NOW it was his bike flying passed my house at no less the 60 miles per hour, 4 to 8 times a day. Now my children's lives are at risk because they ride their bikes in the street in front of my house!
The entire neighborhood put up with it for about 3 weeks and then began to take action by screaming at him as he drove by and calling the police on a regular basis. There is an elderly man named Dick who tries to hit him with rocks as the bike flies by! I told him he should stop for the simple fact he may have a heart attack!
My next door neighbor ticked the kid off so badly that the kid would pull in front of my neighbor's house, stop, then light up the back tire for a good minute before taking off and displaying that he thought my neighbor was number one. Then my neighbor would come bursting out of his front door in his slippers, house coat and disarray come-over and colorfully display how much he thought the kid was number one.
A few days ago I noticed the kid with the motorcycle had not flown passed my house for some time, but the thought simply melted away. Later that day I was walking my 185 pound Great Dane, Otis, and I noticed a big pink cardboard sign nailed to a telephone pole. Normally I would not have paid it much attention because I live in Florida. Every single weekend there are hundreds of colored cardboard signs nailed to telephone poles advertising garage sales and yard sales, but I realized it was Wednesday, the city normally has all of them removed by Tuesday morning.
I stepped in front of the pink sign to see who was selling what and this is how it read..
Moving Out Sale!
Kid's father died
of motorcycle accident
must sell everything!
Any other donations
greatly appreciated!
Please Help!!!
...and the address was the same as the kid who drove recklessly on his motorcycle...
I was short of breath...I was overwhelmed with emotion...I was paralyzed...
Life is way too short to think you have tomorrow to set things straight...
Normally I would say, "Action Is The Key To Success..." and all that, but this is not a normal article, so decide what theme you are going to live your life by from this day forth...
