Discover your True Self
| by Garima Rai | May 29, 2007
The subject of Mathematics is based on the concept of Complex numbers, whereby a part of any number is real and the other part is imaginary. Similarly life also has two parts, the real and the virtual. The real part that is true is unchangeable and is forever. The virtual part is the part that actually appears real and has a form and a state. This part is prone to continuous changes and is called the physical state. On the other hand the real part that is completely change-proof is known as the Soul.
The Soul is the truth that is free from all transformations, is fearless and unaffected by the sly moves of Time. That what changes, is not real and is mere fallacy. Does this imply that the physical world we are living in is mere fallacy? Everything in this world degenerates. Nothing here, including our own physical states, is forever. The irony is that we believe in the existence of the physical state that is actually non-existent and doubt the existence of the real state. Most of us are caught up in the complexities of the mythical life, unaware of the simplicity of the real life.
How can I discover my real self? How do I unveil the truth and awaken my dormant senses? How do I differentiate between the real and the virtual? How do I evolve from the physical level of life and start living at the level of the Soul.
To discover ones real self and to become aware of the truth one needs the insight to identify the truth. The only possible way to identify the truth is by applying the very basic theorem of life, Truth shall prevail. That what changes cannot be true and that what is true can never change. The moment one is able to apply this theorem to life; it becomes simple and free from all worries. Most of us are aware of this theorem but face difficulty in its application, because we doubt the truth.
To live in synchronization with the real self all that I need to do is to set my mind free from Doubt. Self-realization is possible only when I am able to combat Doubt.
