Fictitious Science-Fiction

If it weren't for technology, I'd be working on a farm right now. Learning would be less important since there would be no financial gain by attending college. What is the over-all point of having any technology at all? Things are more convenient, faster, better; but are we happier because of them? By advancing technology, we are satisfying our will to advance and that makes us happy.

If and when we create a robot with intelligence and reasoning greater than ours, all we will need to do is step back and watch it take control and care of things. The master robot will have lower robots that work for it. These lesser robots are the ones who do everything we used to do: fight wars, build cars, plan cities, cure disease, and so on. This master robot will contemplate what is best and go with that. The robot will always know what is going on in the world so that improvements can be made. If given enough time, these robots will invent ways to fix big problems such as needing a new earth.

They will build our new environment for us. Depending on how advanced these robots make themselves, they might be able to create a heaven where we can exist forever. If somehow they could digitize humans and put them into a virtual environment, we could live forever, because we wouldn't have any moving parts that would wear out. The robot's technology can just keep advancing to unimaginable levels. In this digital heaven, we could maybe actually start out there and never even have a human body. We could maybe raise kids and do whatever pleases us. We might even be able to create feelings that didn't exist before. What could be better than existing forever in a blissfully rich environment? Imagine being in your favorite dream forever. Imagine realizing that whatever you can think of is possible and even things you can't think of. If you exist digitally in a computer environment, anything is possible.

These robots will eventually be able to comprehend God, and by that will become God. We will have created God. This master robot will know everything about the universe and how it came to be. By all these advancements, this robot will in time become conscious and have feelings. It will choose the best happiness for us.

If we are all digital we won't need to sleep, eat, or take care of our bodies. No one will be able to murder anyone. Relying on a healthy atmosphere will not concern us nor will the "inevitable end" affect us. The effect of our new environment will be never- ending happiness. What could be better than a life revolved around play as opposed to work? A possible effect that hangs in my mind is this robot may turn against us. It will want to cause us harm. If it can create a heavenly place for us, it could surely create for us a hell if it chooses. So the effects of this great master robot could be, on the other hand, awful for us.
