The Classon Pastposting Team

Within six months he had two dozen clients to whom he meted out stock market tips. And the majority of them proved profitable. He enjoyed the challenge of picking winners based on in-depth analysis. By that time, Joe's thirst for raw gambling had long since dried up. He now played his stock market hunches with other people's money. In his first year of business he earned $20,000. Though only a fraction of what he was earning cheating
Online Casino he didn't mind so much. Being alone in a small cabin-style house in the mountains, Joe didn't need a lot of money to live. The money he earned aboveboard covered his nut. And whenever he did need a little extra cash, he knew he could always fly to Vegas and pick it up on the tables.

Joe Classon might have retired permanently from the Casino before 1970 had he not hired the panicle secretary that he did. Marla Donaldson went to work for Joe in the fall of 1969. She invited him to a okout in the mountains and there introduced him to her boyfriend, Duke. Joe and Duke hit it off immediately. About the only thing they had in ommon was a cultured taste for hashish and marijuana, but Joe admired Duke's easygoing personality, a hundred-and eighty-degree turn from that of his brother.

One night as they passed around the bong at Duke's rented cabin nearby, Joe told Duke all about the casinos after Marla had fallen asleep. Duke laughed and laughed repeatedly at the stories he was hearing, never doubting for a second their validity, which Joe had noticed with an appreciative eye. He knew that most people could never believe casinos being ripped off like that. People had contain impenetrable images of s: that you could never cheat them and get away with it because of all the cameras in the sky; that if you tried anything they would cut off your hands-or worse. Duke never mentioned that; he only wanted to hear more stories.

When Joe, Duke, and Marla went to not-so-far-off Reno to cel¬ebrate the New Year's Eve bringing the world into the seventies, it was hardly surprising that they ended up on a wheel at Virginia Street's Fitzgerald's Club. Going into the ,Duke had asked Joe if he ever heard the tale about the two gay Irish cousins, John Fitzgerald and Gerald Fit john. Duke was always cracking one-liners like that, which had a relaxing effect on Joe.

Joe had taught Marla how to check-bet, and she did just that as they set up to pop in a quarter on a split. Joe chose to do the split instead of the straight-up because he was a little rusty in the casinos and didn't want to chance blowing their first move together. He had also chosen Reno instead of Las Vegas for a purpose. Assuming that Henry was still working the online casino in Vegas alone or with a new partner, Reno figured to be less exposed to the moves. And he had no desire to run into Henry. Who knew how he'd react to seeing Joe taking other people into the casinos?

Joe made things as uncomplicated as possible for his new partners on their first move together. There was no need for a setup bet. Joe had told Marla to bet four roulette chips on the third-section splits. He had told Duke to stand near the top of the wheel and wait for his signal to approach and start claiming. When the move went down, Duke was cool. With a cigarette in one hand, a beer in the other, he came out with a flurry that was a combined claim and laugh. He got paid the $425 and a new partnership was born.

They crossed the street into Harold's Club, and Joe put in a straight-up.
