Priyanka Chopra- Miss World Ruling The Bolly-World

Priyanka Chopra was born on July 18, 1982 at Jamshedpur, Jharkhand to Dr. Ashok Chopra and Dr. Madhu Akhauri. At home, she was nicknamed Mimi.M. The actress spent her childhood in Jameshedpur, Rai Bareilly and Luknow.
She completed her schooling from a variety of places and attended 6 different schools namely-La Martiniere Girls' School in Luknow, St. Maria Goretti in Bareilly, Newton North High School in Newton, Massachusetts and North Delta Senior Secondary School in North Delta, U.S.of A and finally coming back to India to attend Army School in Bareilly.
Priyanka Chopra also enrolled into Jai Hind College, Mumbai for a degree course but soon left it upon winning the Miss India title. She was the first runner up in Femina Miss India Pageant title 2000. Incidentally all the three Miss India personalities of the pageant went on to win their respective titles for the year - Miss India Lara Dutta became Miss Universe 2000 and second runner-up Diya Mirza became Miss Asia-Pacific 2000 and Priyanka became Miss World 2000.
She soon found herself like her other contemporaries on the doorstop of showbiz and made her first Tamil movie Thamizhan (2002). The same year Priyanka Chopra made her debut in Bollywood in the movie The Hero opposite Sunny Deol. The movie earned her recognition and became one of the highest grosser of 2002.
Her next film, Andaaz (2003) opposite Akshay Kumar was a big success at box office, earning her a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award and a nomination for Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award. More movies followed and some of them even earned her rave reviews and awards for her stunning performances like in Aitraaz, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Krrish etc.
Priyanka Chopra is also a trained singer and even lent her voice in the 2005 movie Barsaat opposite Bobby Deol. The year 2008 saw her as many as five movies releases including Drona, Chamku, Love Story 2050, God Tussi Great Ho, Fashion and recently Dostana.
