| by Rinkel Kapoor | November 08, 2008
Kavya Madhavan was born on September 19, 1984 in the village of Nileshwaram in Kasargod district, Kerala, India. She did her schooling at Nileswaram Rajas High School alongside which she entered the South Indian film industry as child artist.

She first appeared in Kamal's film Pookalam Varavayi (1991). Her talent was soon recognized, and she was offered to take up other projects too as a child artist. It is believed that due to Kavya Madhavan’s superb dancing skills she found it a littler easier than her contemporaries to walk the path of success so early in her life.

The turning point in her career came with Lal Jose film Chandanudikkunna Dikkil, and that became a super hit movie. At that time Kavya Madhavan was just in ninth standard! Nonetheless, it opened many doors of opportunities for her in Malayalam movies. It has been claimed that she is the busiest female star in Malayalam who shares successful screen chemistry with several top heroes.

Some of her popular movies are Mizhi Randilum, Dosth, Madhura Nombarakattu, Sadananthante Samayam and Meesa Madhavan of which the last movie bagged a record collection in Malayalam film industry. Besides this, Kavya Madhavan has also performed in certain Tamil films including Kasi which was apparently her first film in Tamil and successful one too.
