Want To Know If Article Marketing Works?

| by Dominic Tay | October 27, 2008
How does one know if article marketing really works? There are a lot of indicators which can be referred to, to satisfy this question. The only ones who can make a rightful claim if it does or does not work are the company whose sales are supposed to have increased as a result of the article marketing strategy.

The same question was raised in a blog forum. It is quite notable that a majority agree that article marketing does work, while some have not tried it yet but intends to, while others are not totally clear as to what article marketing is all about.

For our own personal satisfaction we will list some indicators to at least give us an idea whether or not article marketing really works:

1. Some websites get elevated in their page rank, which means people are noticing the links and are arriving at the business website.

2. Quite a number of people consider the idea of joining the band wagon for article marketing, which means word-of-mouth has convinced them to try it.

3. Article at submission centers are continuously being picked by online publishers, which means there is a demand. If there is demand for it then it must be useful.

4. Some articles improve in page ranking because they had a high click-through performance at the statistics. High click through denotes getting traffic directed to the business website.

5. Copywriters and freelance writers still have a lot of demand in terms of article writing jobs. Again, if creating well-written articles is still a lucrative job for these professionals, then it is the best indicator that article marketing really works. Otherwise, businessmen will not waste their money in commissioning professionals to write useful and fruitful articles for them.

However, there is a unanimous opinion that article marketing involves a lot of work and employment of other marketing tools to be really effective. The fact that ecommerce is getting more businesses involved in using the internet as a tool it means more and more websites will crave to be noticed in the web.

Article marketing is bound to be more active than ever.
