Renewable energy is a great field to join if you’re interested in saving money on you electricity bills. One of the most sensible ways to save money on your electricity is get your own windmill. If you want to build your own windmill then your about to enter a process that is very expensive for some and very cheap for others. This fact unsettled me and in the end led me to search for the best plans and designs out there. If you don’t want to pay too much when you build your own windmill then it’s important to find the right plans.

Once I’ve found the right design, there was still the putting it together that needed attending to. This was something I almost gave up on in the past but with the right plans and step by step direction I could manage to assemble all the parts quickly and without hassle. I did this by following the first rule in building something: proper planning. Without proper planning your going to get confused and never build your own windmill even if you try for years.

There are other important steps which must not be overlooked. The first of these is to contact federal, state, or local governments to see if you qualify for any subsidies or tax credits. The second is to find out about your net metering laws. These vary by state and determine how much the electric companies cooperate with your windmill ownership. When you build your windmill you can know exactly how many retail credits your state will grant you.

Having done all the necessary research you’re ready to build your own windmill. The most important part of building your own windmill is choosing which plans to use. There are all sorts of designs to fit all sorts of budgets, but if you’re like me and want to make an investment with little monetary risk and a relatively high reward then your going to want to look into smaller cheaper windmills.
