Cure Kidney Stones
| by Monacy McDonald | October 07, 2007
Each human is blessed with two kidneys. A human can survive with a single kidney too but without a kidney, it is not possible. The kidney performs the extremely important function of cleaning up our body. It eliminates all sorts of harmful or useless chemicals present in our body. Water or other fluids help the kidney in performing this function. Reduced intake of water or fluids causes the concentration of urine. Concentrated urine in turn causes infection of the bladder or kidney.
Your body is more active in the day and so produces more urine in the morning. Since you rest at night, the body is inactive and produces less urine. People with mild heart failures often need to urinate couple of times during the night. With only a single kidney functioning properly too you can lead a healthy life. To help your kidney keep you healthy, it is more than important to drink at least two to three liters of water daily. Sufficient amount of fluids are necessary to cure kidney stones.
It is believed that reduced intake of water or too much sweating causes concentration of urine and then leads to formation of kidney stones. The stones which are known as renal calculi form in many different shapes and sizes. If the stone is slightly big, it may cause extreme pain while passing through the ureter. The stones while passing through may get stuck in the ureter too.
Stones which obstruct the flow of urine cause severe cramps or pain. The pain which is felt inside the abdomen slowly then moves to the groin and thighs. Sweating, chills, nausea and vomiting are other side effects of kidney stones. The bigger stones that cant come out via the muscular tubes have to be removed. This can be done by breaking down the bigger stones into smaller bits or by performing small surgeries to cure kidney stones.
Uric acid, amino acids, oxalate, phosphate and calcium present in excess in the body cause kidney or bladder stones. Over activity of the parathyroid glands can cause deficiency of Vitamin A or excess of Vitamin D. This is also dangerous as if the body receives too little or too much of these vitamins. It may lead to the formation of stones. If you suffer from gout, then uric acid stones are likely to be formed. If you have stones now or have suffered from it a while ago, drinking milk has to be avoided. Milk is nothing but calcium and may cause a relapse of renal calculi.
Researchers working on different cures for kidney stones have also found out that more men have kidney stones than women. It is also estimated that most people are affected with this problem during their mid life. If you want a cure for this disease, it is a must to visit a doctor. A doctor will be able to decide on the severity of your problem. With few easy tests he can find out the size of your stones. Once the size of the stones is diagnosed, he will be able to decide on the best way to cure kidney stones.
