Thermal profiling in the process of wave solder or reflow soldering proves in the main proves for the monitoring of the actual state of the process. Thermal profiling is the most important or we can say is a key factor in the manufacturing process of the PCB’s, it proves its utility in both to settle on the process of machine settings and to verify process steadiness. In the process of reflow soldering if you do not have measurable results you can not control the process. It should also be kept on mind that before determining the best profile parameters for your process you should always consult to the welding paste vendor or the flux vendor and should always review the specifications of the process.
In modern day manufacturing of PCB’s the process of thermal profiling for the reflow soldering is accepted throughout the globe. If a direct thermal profile has been applied on a printed circuit board, the tight spot of monitoring the oven performance of the board becomes apparent.
The equipments used for the monitoring of the thermal profiling process are known as the profilers. These profilers are benefiting the PCB manufacturing industry in many ways, like the life span of these equipments are greater then those of the other instruments used earlier for this process. Also the instrument is very easy to operate and hence makes it even more convenient for the operation. The data provided by the profilers helps the engineers and the technician to access the data immediate as it is delivered to them. Also the software for the profiler is quite easy to install and even to operate.
