Is your Child getting the proper Education?

| by Raul Pop | March 26, 2007
Have you ever thought your child may not be properly educated? You may have sent him to the best school available, you may have got him the best tutors possible, you may have even sent him abroad to continue his studies, there’s something none of these actions can teach him, and ironically this is the most important thing he needs to learn in life.

Besides having a decent understanding of what’s going on around him, your child needs to learn to behave according to his position in society, or simply put, he needs to learn having manners. No matter how smart you are, if you can’t behave accordingly, you will always be looked down on by society. Unfortunately, this doesn’t mean you can’t make it big without having any manners. In fact, we’re confronted with this kind of examples daily, but just because you have a respectable social or financial status, doesn’t mean you are respected by others.

Another very important skill your child needs to obtain in life is that of leadership, so he can efficiently work together a group of people, distributing them their tasks evenly and accordingly. This is yet another scenario where being book smart isn’t enough to help him advance in life. Besides studying his textbooks, he also needs to learn the lessons life has to offer, because “Experience is a hard teacher, because she gives the test first, the lesson after” as Vernon Sanders law states.

These are just a few examples of things you might’ve overlooked in your child’s education. I’m sure you can think of others, but it’s not too late to make up for it. Instead of helping him with his math homework, why don’t you help him build up his logic skills? Teach him the skills of a leader, because if there’s something about himself he won’t be able to change, it’s his personality.
