Every company out there should have a standard folder to use for promoting their company.
There are so many different occasions when youre going to be able to make use of a good folder. The obvious areas are tradeshows and various presentations you might be giving. Each one will usually require you to hand out a lot of information, which can then be placed in a nice folder with your company name on it.
But when youre just talking to people to make a sale you might be in a position where you need to give them some stuff to take home. Why force them to try organizing all of those pieces of paper when you can conveniently just pull out a folder for them to put it all in? Not only does it make you look more professional and organized, but also youre handing them something with your company name all over it.

Add in a reference on your folder to the specific event youre at. Now when people take it home they know who you are and where they met you. This is why I would also suggest having a few different folder templates made to choose from. Have one be your basic company template, and the other your event template meant to be slightly changed if you need to.
Really, anything you can do to make marketing a little easier should be jumped at. Why wouldnt you seize an opportunity to cut down on your time devoted to folder printing so that you can shift it towards other projects?
