Self Priming Trash Or Waste Water Pumps

Self-priming trash pumps are designed for heavy-duty de-watering use. In this article we will take a look at the applications, specifications, features and semi-trash pump models available.

A trash pump employs the deepest impeller vanes to produce the largest discharge capacity, incorporated with a large volume discharge opening to pass water containing suspended sticks, stones & debris without clogging or harming pump components.

Pumps with 3” and 4” pipe diameters are designed to suck up to 31 mm diameter trash. Pumps with 2” pipe diameter are designed to such up to 20 mm. Diameter trash. The biggest distinguishing factor between normal clear water pumps and self-priming trash pumps, is the fact that trash pumps are designed up to 31 mm solids in diameter versus 10 mm solids in the case of clear water pumps.
