Cars, Efficiency and Safety Ask for Direction or do it Yourself?
| by Napoleon Miles | November 05, 2008
Driving your car in an efficient and safe manner has not to do only with obeying road signs. Far from it! The most important factor is the mental attitude you have when you are driving. Always keep you attention of what you are doing and remember it is always a good idea to predict what is coming next.
Unfortunately when we are driving sometimes our mind is full of worries and distractions. This is a dangerous situation that we may wish to avoid. Experience helps a lot in nurturing good driving habits especially in times of emergency.
Perhaps an interesting trait that is much more synonymous with male drivers than female drivers is the inability to ask for directions
Even the most reasonable of men can sometimes grow huge egos out of nowhere but the last thing you want to do is drive around aimlessly when you are lost. This will cost you more money on gas and reduces your safety. If you are one of those know it all men, this tip is just for you.
Maps are there usually to be read to get directions. But if you do not have one and have a wife instead, let her ask for directions.
This does not mean that you are not the best guy in the whole world; it just means hey we are wasting time and money so lets ask. Next time you are lost or are undecided about which road to take, pull over and ask for directions. That should not make you feel like you have lost your manhood.
It will not only spare you the long drive back, save you the gas, drive more safely but best of all your wife will think you did it for her.
